Jeanerette ~ Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Louis J. Hoover, the former Joy Escagne, age 79 at 11:00 AM Monday June 4, 2007 at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church with Rev. Ed. Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow in St. John The Evangelist Mausoleum. Reader for the mass will be Camille Domingue. Bringing the gifts will be Mary Ann Domingue, Joanne Albert and Laurie Albert, Eucharistic Ministers will be Rita Gouner and Camille Domingue, Alter Servers will be Sarah Bourgeois and Molly Kern, and Reflection will be given by Kenneth Kern. Vocalist Jody Bollich will sing Here I am Lord , Ave Maria , On Eagles Wings , and Isiah 49 . Visiting hours will be observed Sunday June 3, 2007 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will resume Monday June 4, 2007 from 8:00 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed Sunday June 3, 2007 at 6:30 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Hoover died Monday May 28, 2007 at 11:20 PM at her daughters residence in Jeanerette. Mrs. Hoover was a native and lifelong resident of Jeanerette. She was a past member of the Joseph's School board and was a strong supporter of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church. Mrs. Hoover is survived by her children; Dana Hoover Bourgeois and her husband John of Jeanerette, Jody Hoover Off and her husband David of Lafayette, and Eric David Hoover and his wife Tracy of Washington, Illinois, Her grandchildren; David Hoover of Aurora, Colorado, Lauren Hoover, Jessica Hoover and Jacob Hoover all of Washington, Illinois, Christian Off of Lafayette and Sarah Bourgeois of Jeanerette, a sister; Mary Ann Domingue of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis J. Hoover, her parents Winnie Escagne and Julia Hebert Escagne and a brother Kearney Escagne. Serving as pallbearers will be Eric D. Hoover, Damian D. Domingue, Keith J. Kern, Kevin J. Kern, Kendal G. Broussard, and Joseph T. Mickel. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be William A. Domingue, Jerry Albert, John Albert, Kent Kern, Kirk Kern, Jacques Larroque, David Off, John Bourgeois, Christian Off, and David Hoover The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to Regional Home Health especially Pam Shelton and Lisa Daigle, Dr. Barrow Bourgeois and staff and her care giver of many years Joyce Benoit.
