Loving Father and Grandfather New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Frank LeBlanc, Age 84, at 10:00AM Saturday August 8, 2009 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church with FatherEd Degeyterofficiating. Interment will follow in Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Delcambre with Father Barry Crochet conducting interment service. Visitation will be Friday August 7, 2009 from 10:00AM until 9:00PM at David Funeral Home in New Iberia with a Rosary being prayed at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume Saturday from 8:00AM until service time. A native of Vermilion Parish and longtime resident of Iberia Parish Mr. LeBlanc died Wednesday August 5, 2009 at 6:50PM at his sister-in-laws residence in St. Martin Parish. His careers were in sales for a Chevy dealership, Standard Coffee, Jefferson Island Grocery, Rex Milling at the Port of Iberia and Lipari sporting goods. He was also a member of the Iberia Parish Jury Commission. Frank was a kind and gentle man who loved his children, grandchildren and family. He always had a smile and a good morning greeting. He was a man of few words but you knew what was in his heart. He believed in the Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also Veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Army. The family would like to give special thanks to his caregivers, Barbara and Terry Domingue and Bernadette Derouen and the staff of St. Theresa Hospice. Survivors include his Children, Shelia L. Lauw and husband Phillip of Youngsville, Henry LeBlanc and wife Gaynell, Becky L. Verret and husband Brian all of New Iberia, Libby L. Sanford and husband Morris of Coteau; one sister, Georgia Fremin of Coteau; sister-in-laws, Brenda LeBlanc of St. Martinville, Eula LeBlanc of Vermilion Parish and Emily Austin of North Carolina; grandchildren, Valerie Richard and Monica Gaspard of Vermilion Parish, Jolene Segura, Eric, Josh and Amy LeBlanc, Marie and Elise Sanford, Blaise and Brielle Verret all of New Iberia and great grandchildren, Garrett and Bradley Richard of Vermilion Parish and Avery LeBlanc of New Iberia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Joyce LeBlanc; his parents, Clet and Aline Berger LeBlanc; one brother, Clet LeBlanc, Jr. and a brother-in-law Nolan Fremin. Pallbearers will be Eric and Josh LeBlanc, Blaise Verret, Travis Richard, Kyle Fremin and Jered Gaspard.
