New Iberia"A Mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy Dott Broussard Robin Weber, 68, of Lafayette will be celebrated on Thursday, May 10, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Reverend Steve LeBlanc will serve as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 09, 2007 from 4:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home. Dott passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2007 at 12:00 P.M. in her Lafayette residence. A native of Jeanerette, Dott and her late husband, Marcel Robin, Jr. lived in New Iberia for nearly thirty years. She moved to Lafayette with her second husband, Jim Weber. A very spiritual woman, Dott studied and practiced natural medicine and massage therapy, and she was a yoga instructor. She had traveled throughout much of the world. Dott enjoyed gardening, tennis, and singing, and she was an accomplished award-winning seamstress, having represented Louisiana in national sewing and modeling competitions. Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Robin and husband, Tom Lorio of Baton Rouge; sons, Kyle Robin of Baltimore, MD and Chris Robin and wife, Amy of Midland, TX; father, Joseph Oswald Broussard, Sr.; brothers, Gene Broussard, Sr. and wife, Barbara of Jeanerette, Joe Broussard and wife, Joyce of Jeanerette, James Broussard and wife, Janice of St. Martinville, Charles Chop Broussard and wife, Janice of Jeanerette, Wayne Broussard of Jeanerette, and David Broussard and wife, Tina of New Iberia; sisters, Patti Lacour and husband, James of New Iberia, Margaret Laughlin and husband, David of Ocean Beach, TX, Linda Broussard of New Iberia, and Theresa LaCour of New Iberia; and grandchildren, Lyndsi Nicole Robin and Emili Kate Robin of Midland, TX. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Preceding Dott in death were her husband, Marcel Robin, Jr.; and mother, Gertrude Aucoin Broussard. Serving as pallbearers are her brothers, Gene Broussard, Sr., Joe Broussard, James Broussard, Charles Chop Brousard, Wayne Broussard, and David Broussard, and her nephew, Zed LaCour. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
