Loreauville"A Mass of Christian Burial for David Charles Provost, 38, of Loreauville will be celebrated on Monday, June 25, 2007 at 3:00 P.M. in St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Reverend Mario Romero will serve as celebrant. Entombment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum.

Visiting hours will be observed on Sunday, June 24, 2007 from 3:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Monday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home.

David passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2007 at 9:15 A.M. in his Loreauville residence.

A native and lifelong resident of Loreauville, David was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a graduate of Loreauville High School and of Teche Area Campus of Louisiana Technical School, where studied air conditioning and refrigeration repair, and he worked for Guidry's Ignition Service. David enjoyed hunting, and he cared for his dog, Sammy and his cat, Katie.

Survivors include his parents, Clark and Mary Spiess Provost; brothers, Kevin Provost and wife, Caline and Brian Provost and wife, Colette; nieces, Joelle and Randi Provost; and nephews, Trey and Jordy Provost, all of Loreauville.

Preceding David in death were his maternal grandparents, Herrle and Maude Spiess; paternal grandparents, Maurice and Sis Provost; and cousin, Allen Rosen.

Serving as pallbearers are Kevin, Brian, and Trey Provost, Donald Solar, Jr., Kevin Ledford, and Kurt Tauzin.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to everyone at Guidry Ignition Service for their friendship with David and for their support during this difficult time.
