New Iberia"Funeral services for Raleigh Viator, Sr., 68, will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon Jimmy Wilson will officiate.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2007 from 9:00 A.M. until service time in David Funeral Home.
Mr. Viator passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at 9:58 P.M. in Broussard.
A native of Erath, Mr. Viator had lived throughout the Acadiana region, and was currently living in Breaux Bridge. He was a fun-loving man who believed in keeping in touch with his friends, even if only a short phone call to say hello . Mr. Viator was a boxer in high school, a talented cook, and an avid domino player. A man of impeccable style, Mr. Viator always enjoyed the very best of everything in life. No matter what his own circumstances were, Mr. Viator remained upbeat and was concerned about others situations.
Survivors include his mother, Lilly Smith Viator of New Iberia; daughters, Kelleigh Reynolds of Biloxi, MS and Molly Viator of Alpine, TX; sons, Joseph Viator of Magnolia, TX and Matthew McManus of Lafayette; grandchildren, Barbara Viator of Lafayette, and Kassidy, Devyn, and Colette Reynolds of Biloxi, MS; brother, George Viator, Jr. of Dozier, AL; sisters, Kathy Viator Meadows and husband, Lynn of New Iberia and Chris Viator Riggs and husband, Curt of New Iberia; Godchild, Kerric Viator and wife, Sharon of New Iberia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Preceding Mr. Viator in death were his wife, Judie Funderburk Viator; son, Raleigh Viator, Jr.; and father, George Viator, Sr.
David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
