New Iberia"Funeral services for Wilton Joseph David, Jr., 62, will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at 4:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon George Sikes will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visiting hours will be observed on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 from 10:00 A.M. until service time in David Funeral Home. Mr. David passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2007 at 7:02 P.M. in a New Iberia hospital. A native of New Iberia, Mr. David was affectionately known as Butch to some, while others knew him as T-Neg . An accomplished artist, he was at one time a professor in UCLAs School of Art. Mr. David had been disabled for many years and was New Iberia Manor Norths youngest oldest resident. He was well loved by the staff and residents at New Iberia Manor North, and was known as being very kind and appreciative to all who knew him. Survivors include a special uncle, Roy Boutte; special cousin, Fay B. Thomas and husband, Fred; uncle/Godfather, Dennis David and wife, Cora; cousin/Godson, Richard David and wife, Dione; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Serving as pallbearers are Roy Boutte, Richard David, Fred Thomas, Sr., Zie Thomas, Troy Viator, and Deacon George Sikes. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of New Iberia Manor North for their special care and friendship. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
