LOVING FATHER Jeanerette " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Gerald Lloyd Pepper, Age 85, Wednesday September 9, 2009 at 10:00 AM at St John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Jeanerette. Interment will follow in St Johns Cemetery, with Father Jody Simoneaux officiating. Visiting hours will be observed Tuesday September 8, 2009 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will resume Wednesday September 9, 2009 from 8:00 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home Tuesday September 8, 2009 at 6:30 PM Mr. Pepper passed away Sunday September 6, 2009 at 3:20 PM in a New Iberia Hospital. Mr. Pepper was a native and lifelong resident of Jeanerette. He was a retired pipe fitter and he enjoyed fishing and fixing things. Mr. Pepper is survived by his daughter, Juliene Pepper Poirier of Jeanerette; his sisters, Audrey Landry of Jeanerette and Shirley Avery of Houma. Mr. Pepper was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Stansbury Pepper; his daughter, Ramona Pepper; his parents, Malvert Pepper and Ida Hebert Pepper; his sisters, Jeanette Derouen and Irma Pepper; his brothers, Arnold, Melvert, Dudley, Preston, Irvin, Allen and Donald Pepper. Serving is pallbearers will be Keith Stansbury, Kevin Stansbury, Roland Stansbury, Jr., Kirk Stansbury, Randy Pepper and Ronald Pepper. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Titus Landry, Alvin Terrebonne and Gerard Dufrene. David Funeral Home of Jeanerette, 400 Provost Street, (337)276-5151 is in charge of arrangements.
