New Iberia " Funeral services will be conducted for Asee Gary, 78, on Sunday, September 6, 2009 at 3:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Charles Langlois officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM and resumes on Sunday, September, 6, 2009 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home on Saturday at 7:00 PM. A native of Youngsville and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Gary died on Friday, September 4, 2009 at 12:40 PM at his residence. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the U.S. Army and graduated from trade school in carpentery. He was the owner and operator of Garys Construction since 1965. He was a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his sons, Johnny Gary and his wife Tressa, Ricky Gary and his wife Theresa, Mark Thibodeaux all of New Iberia and Tony Gary and his wife Sandy of Bush, LA; his daughters, Peggy Duhon and Cheryl Lejeune and her husband Chris all of New Iberia; his sisters, Elsie G. Derouen, Irma G. Bodin both of New Iberia and Uvie G. Toups of Independence. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dona Dieu Borel Gary; his parents, Simon and Carmelite Maturin Gary; his sister, Agnes Gary Suire and his brother, Minos Gary. Pallbearers will be Andrew Lejeune, Christopher Lejeune, Shane Suire, Christopher Gary, Gilbert Schiffer and Mark Thibodeaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny, Ricky and Tony Gary.
