Coteau " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Roy Comeaux the former Martha Babineaux, Age 90 at 3:00PM Wednesday August 12, 2009 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday August 11, 2009 from 1:00PM until 9:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 7:00PM by The Ladies Altar Society. Visitation will resume Wednesday from 8:00AM until service time. A native and lifelong resident of Coteau, Mrs. Comeaux died Sunday August 9, 2009 at 5:30AM at a local hospital. She managed the Teche Theatre in St. Martinville for over 30 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, the Ladys Altar Society and the church choir. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking and baking, yard work and gardening. Affectionately known as "Me Maw", she loved spending time with her family especially her grand, great and great great grandchildren. If you did a favor for her you would probably receive a banana-nut bread. Survivors include her two daughters, Peggy C. Trosclair of St. Martinville and Gail C. Beauchamp of Baton Rouge; one sister, Meda B. Hayne of Lafayette; two sister in laws, Girlie Babineaux of New Iberia and Irene Bernard of Lafayette; grandchildren, Kirk Trosclair and fiancee Darlene Ledet of Chauvin, Kimberly Latiolais and husband Richard of Coteau, Marlene Perez and husband Marty of Lydia, Harold Trosclair, Jr. and wife Sandy of St.Martinville; great grandchildren, Erick Trosclair and Callie Trosclair both of Carencro, Ashley Molins and husband Derek of Saraland, Alabama, Kyle Latiolais and wife Brooke of Gramercy, Tyler Latiolais of Coteau, Kacie Perez and Koy Perez both of Lydia, Kamy and Beau Trosclair both of St. Martinville; great great grandchildren, Nicholas and Maci Molins both of Saraland, Alabama and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Comeaux; parents, Eraste and Noemie Segura Babineaux; three brothers, Edmond, Marshall and Junius Babineaux; three sisters, Bella B. Fremin, Edna B. Ayo and Rita B. Dugas. Pallbearers will be Richard, Kyle and Tyler Latiolais, Kirk, Harold Jr. and Erick Trosclair. David Funeral Home, 1101 Trotter St. New Iberia, La.
