Erath " A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath, Louisiana at 2:00PM on Tuesday, January 8, 2008, for Mr. Joseph Davis J.D. Roy. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home in Erath, on Monday, January 7, 2008 from 11:00AM until 9:00PM and will resume on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 from 8:00AM until services. Interment will follow at Lege Family Cemetery in Rayne, Louisiana.

A native of Rayne and a resident of Abbeville, J.D. was a consultant in the oilfield business for many years. He passed away on January 5, 2008 at 1:20PM at Abbeville General Hospital.

J.D. is survived by his wife, Norma Jean Thompson Roy of Abbeville; daughter, Monique Roy Terrebonne and her husband Tommy of Erath; son, Jason Anthony Roy and his wife Jessica of Erath; grandchildren, Tate and Marae Terrebonne of Erath and Mason and Anabelle Claire Roy also of Erath; mother, Dorothy Lege Pryor and step-father Louis Pryor of Rayne; father, Wilton Roy of Bull Island; step-mother Lucille Gaspard of Bull Island; five brothers, Ray Allen Roy of Welch, Darrell Roy of Texas, Patrick Roy of Rayne, Ira Pryor of Rayne and Randall Pryor of Rayne and three sisters,Cynthia Bourque of Duson, Terry Comeaux of Rayne and Paula Landry of Mobile Bay. He is also survived by a step-brother Patrick Gaspard of Bull Island.

Pallbearers will be Ray Allen Roy, Darrell Roy, Ira Pryor, Randall Pryor, Raywood Lege and Bobby Bourque.

Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Patrick Roy.
