Abbeville- A funeral service for Mrs. Paul Richard, the former Mary Linda Freitas, 57, will be held on Tuesday July 3, 2007 at 10:00AM at David Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Champagne officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 2, 2007 from 12:00PM until 10:00PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at 8:00AM until time of service. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. Mrs. Richard, a native of Honolulu, Hawaii and a resident of Erath, died on Sunday, July 1, 2007 at 9:50AM at home surrounded by her family. She was employed by the Vermilion Parish School Board. She is survived by her husband, Paul Richard of Erath; one daughter, Marie Champagne and her husband Kiley of Erath; one son, Adam Richard of Erath; and one sister, Cecelia Newcomb and her husband Wayne of Waipahu, Hawaii. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Freitas, Sr. and Mary Ferreira-Aresta Freitas; and one brother, Charles Freitas, Jr. Pallbearers will be Lance Richard Sr., Dallas Broussard, Jr., Greg Roy, Wayne Roy, Corey Marchand, and Toby Brasseaux. David Funeral Home of Abbeville will be handling arrangements.
