Lafayette - Funeral Services for Ben Carlton, age 62, will be held on September 3, 2007 at 12:00PM at David Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Carlton Passed away on August 31, 2007 at Lafayette General Medical Center at 7:00AM. A native of Crockett, Texas Ben was a resident of Lafayette for many years. Visitation will be on Monday, September 3, 2007 from 10:00AM until Services. Father Glenn Meaux will be officiating. Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Young Carlton; two daughters, Nancy Bourque and her husband Armond of Luling, La. and Jayme Lisabeth Carlton of Lafayette; two sons Rush Joshua Carlton and his wife Jamie of Metairie and Jeff Logan Carlton of Lafayette; two sisters, Dorothy "Nell" Balcher of Commerce, Texas, Cynthia Kay Engle of Crockett, Texas; three brothers, Milton Ray Carlton of Franklin, Clayton Carlton of LaRose and Ivy Lee Carlton of Commerce, Texas. Ben is also survived by four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Ben is preceded by his parents; Snide Rushing and Reba Jewel Gates Carlton; one brother, Leland Carlton.
