View Video Tribute "Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother" RYNELLA - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Leroy Louviere, Sr., the former Lottie Rita Guidry, 82, will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at St. Marcellus Catholic Church in Rynella with Father Donovan Labbe and Deacon Theo Landry officiating. Readers will be Chelsie and Jeaneen Freyou and gift bearers will be Sue Hebert,Connie Cormier and Cyerra Breaux. Entombment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum. Visiting hours will be observed Tuesday, September 4, 2007 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 7:00 PM at David Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Wednesday, September 5, 2007 from 8:00 AM until the time of service. A native of Catahoula and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Louviere died at 1:35 PM Sunday, September 2, 2007, at her residence. Mrs. Louviere was a member of the Woodmen of World in Delcambre. She loved dancing, playing bingo, listening to French music, going to the casino, traveling, playing bouree and working in her yard. Mrs. Louviere was a school bus driver attendant for 13 years with the Iberia Parish School System. She is survived by hr husband, Leroy Louviere Sr.; son, Donald Simon and wife Helen; step-son, Leroy Louviere, Jr. and wife Jennifer, all. of New Iberia; daughters, Connie Louviere Cormier and husband Lester of Carencro, Elaine Simon Hargrave and husband Kenneth of Abbeville, and Sue Simon Hebert and husband Morris of New Iberia; brother, Jimmie Guidry and his wife Ruth of Benton, Ark.; grandchildren, Stephen Freyou and wife Tracey of Loreauville, Jason Usey and wife Tammy of Youngsville, Charlotte Hebert and fiance David Botkin of New Iberia, Cherelle Allen and husband Mark of San Antonio, Texas, Donnie Simon Jr. and wife Erika of New Iberia, Nanette Williams and husband Dreau of Delcambre, Nikki Louviere, Logan J. Louviere, Adam Louviere, and John Louviere and wife Amber, all of New Iberia; and great-grandchildren, Chelsie Freyou of Loreauville, Jeaneen Freyou of Loreauville, Amber, Adrienne and Christopher Williams, Emmett Simon, all of Delcambre, Michael, John, Mark, Matthew and Andrew Allen, all of San Antonio, Texas, Cyerra, Kegan and Bricen Breaux, all of New Iberia. Mrs. Louviere was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Eliante Dugas Guidry; son, Floyd Simon; and first husband, Lawless Simon. Pallbearers will be Donnie Simon Jr., Lester Cormier, Stephen Freyou, Jimmy Guidry, Leroy Louviere Jr. and Morrison Hebert. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Hargrave, Logan Louviere, Adam Louviere, Bobby LeBlanc, Rufus Romero and John Louviere.
