Jeanerette " Funeral Services will be conducted for Isaac Sonnier, Sr, Age 86 at 10:00AM Thursday September 10, 2009 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Jody Simoneaux officiating. Interment will follow in St. Johns Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday September 9, 2009 from 2:00PM until 10:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume Thursday from 8:00AM until service time. A native and lifelong resident of Iberia Parish Mr. Sonnier died Saturday September 5, 2009 at 8:10AM in a New Iberia health care facility. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include four sons, Isaac Sonnier and wife Janice of Jeanerette, Earl Sonnier and wife Darlene of New Iberia, Rickey Sonnier and wife Wanda of Loreauville and Danny Sonnier and wife Luna of Lafayette; two brothers, Neuville and James Lois Sonnier both of Jeanerette, grandchildren, Jade Sonnier of Jeanerette, Jaron Sonnier of Lafayette, Anthony Sonnier of New Iberia, Ryan and Michael Sonnier of Loreauville and Sara Duplantis of New Iberia; great grandchildren, Austin Sonnier of Delcambre, Destiny Sonnier of Catahoula, Zachary Sonnier of Abbeville, Landyn Sonnier of Baton Rouge, Courtney Jade Sonnier of Baton Rouge, Jacob Duplantis of New Iberia, Tobie Sonnier, Luke and Lanie Sonnier both of Loreauville and Kameron Sonnier of Lafayette. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosita Faulk Sonnier; parents, Paul and Catherine Smith Sonnier; three brothers, Clifton, Preston and Coston Sonnier; one sister, Paula LeBlanc and a grandson, Tate Sonnier.
