Loving Mother, Grandmother and Sister New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Armond Roy the former Helen Olander, Age 77, at 1:00PM Thursday September 10, 2009 at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Roland Fontenot officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home Wednesday September 9, 2009 from 2:00PM until 9:00PM and again Thursday from 8:00AM until service time. A native of Weeks Island and longtime resident of New Iberia Mrs. Roy always enjoyed being with her family. She died Saturday September 5, 2009 at Iberia Medical Center. The family would like to give special thanks to Tina Hebert and Joyce Landry for the help and loving care given to Mrs. Roy. Survivors include two sons, Ronald Jeske and wife Penny of New Iberia and Stephen Jeske and wife Cathy of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jaime Lynn Jeske and Joe Hunter Jeske both of New Iberia; a step grandchild Lexi Emmer of New Iberia and a great grandchild, Gunner Jeske; four sisters, Alberta Borel and Mrs. Benjamin Elizabeth Rawlins both of Cypremort Point, Mrs. Norman Dorothy Romero of Youngsville and Rita Simon of Pasadena, Texas; one brother, Edward Olander of Cypremort Point and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Armond Roy; Parents, Andrew and Frances Rolkosky Olander; one son, John Paul Jeske; four brothers, Leo, Andrew Jr., Sylvester and Steve Olander; one sister, Elenora Hartman and a granddaughter, Jennifer Elizabeth Jeske.
