Bernice Bronson Jeffreys

Services for Mrs. A. F. Jeff Jeffreys, the former Bernice Bronson, 84, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 14, 2008 at David Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Denton officiating. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be observed Sunday, January 13, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will resume Monday, January 14, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at David Funeral Home.

A native of San Dimas, California, and a resident of New Iberia, Louisiana, Mrs. Jeffreys died at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 11, 2008, at her residence.

Mrs. Jeffreys was a member of Highland Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Ed Jeffreys and wife Jackie of New Iberia; grandson, David Jeffreys and wife Stephanie of New Iberia; granddaughter, Gretchen Stewart and husband Timothy of Columbia, South Carolina; great-grandsons, Aaron and Kyle Jeffreys, both of New Iberia, and Benjamin and Samuel Stewart, both of Columbia, South Carolina; brother, Don Bronson of Hemit, California; and sister, Barbara Stallard of Meridian Idaho.

Mrs. Jeffreys was preceded in death by her husband, A.F. Jeff Jeffreys; parents, Edward and Gretchen Groce Bronson; sister, Greta Drake; and brothers, John, Harry and Gilbert Bronson.

Pallbearers will be David Jeffreys, Timothy Stewart, Greg Martin, Keith White, Bill Pondrom and John Labry. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne McNeese,Phil Teer and James Lacy.

David Funeral Home of New Iberia, 1101 Trotter Street (337) 369-6336, is in charge of the arrangements.
