Erath - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. John LaSalle the former Gertrude Gertie Bouillion, 62, will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Wayne Duet officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 From 5:00PM until 10:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday, January 10, 2008 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. Mrs. LaSalle a native and resident of Erath died at 11:04PM on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at Lafayette General Medical Center. She had retired from the Vermilion Parish Police Jury after over 30 years of service. She also really enjoyed going to the casino. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, John V. LaSalle of Erath; a son, Kevin LaSalle and his wife Kim of Abbeville; a daughter, Danielle Derise and her husband Shaun of Youngsville; three brothers, Harold Bouillion and his wife Char of Metairie, George Bouillion and his wife Brenda of Abbeville, and Norris Bouillion and his wife Tina of Erath; and two grandchildren, Bailey LaSalle and Kade LaSalle both of Abbeville. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Renie and Irene Richard Bouillion; and two brothers, Dalton and Alton Bouillion. Serving as pallbearers will be Todd, Brett, Bart, Evan, Shawn, and Mark Bouillion. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Shaun Derise, Kade LaSalle, and Kevin LaSalle David Funeral Home of Erath at 209 E. Putnam St. (337)937-0405 will be handling the arrangements.
