New Iberia " Funeral services will be conducted for Patricia Crisman Rabeaux, 63 on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008 at 10:00 AM at David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Charles Langlois officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008 at 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:00 PM.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Rabeaux died on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008 at 7:50 AM in a New Iberia hospital. She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church and a former teacher in Loreauville and at Hopkins Elementary School. She was a talented artist, enjoyed reading, writing and praying for others. She was diagnosed with MS in 1967, but stayed strong and upbeat for all these years. She had a wonderful outlook on life and a sense of humor. In her younger years, she participated in beauty pageants. The family extends a special thanks to her friend and caregiver, Sherry Nicholas for her loving care.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Rabeaux of New Iberia; her daughter, Melissa Missy Rabeaux-Rosen and her husband Robert of Austin, TX; her son, Paul Michael Rabeaux and his wife Bonnie of Lydia; her brothers, Gene Crisman and his wife Judette of Beaumont, TX and Raymond Crisman and his wife Shirley of Jeanerette; her grandson, Andrew Michael Castanon of Austin, TX, her special friend and caregiver, Sherry Nicholas of New Iberia; her nieces, Sarah Kirksey and her husband JoJo, Jennifer Crisman, and Katie Buhler and her husband Chris all of Beaumont, TX; her nephew and Godchild, Jonathan Crisman of The Woodlands, TX; her great niece, Maddie Kirksey of Beaumont, TX; her great nephews, Jack Kirksey of Beaumont, TX and Nick Buhler of Beaumont, TX and her beloved pet, Bash.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Crisman and Doris Comeaux Crisman.

Pallbearers will be Paul Rabeaux, Jonathan Crisman, Gene Crisman, Robert Rosen and Dennis Brooks.
