Lafayette - A Mass of Christian Burial for Louis "Bedom" David, 90, will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Richard Fabre officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 15, 2008 at David Funeral Home of Lafayette from 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will resume on Saturday, February 16, 2008 from 8:00 A.M. until the time of services. Interment will follow at St. Anne Cemetery. Mr. David, a native of Youngsville and resident of Lafayette, passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at 7:00 P.M. at Maison de Lafayette. The family would like to send special thanks to his niece, Sherry Stakes, who was his caregiver along with the help of Donna Fabre and Gerald Landry. Special thanks also goes out to everyone at Maison de Lafayette, Louisiana Hospice and Palitive Care for the wonderful care provided. Mr. David is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Margarite Fabre David;his parents Helaire David and Elia Boudreaux David;seven brothers, Wilfred David, Claude David, Frank David, Randolph David, Ophe David, Rex David and Ove David; six sisters, Ada David, Eunice David Landry, Lelia David Broussard, Eugenia David Broussard, Ana David and Louise David Fabre. Serving as pallbearers will be Glenn Stakes, Eddie Stakes, Raymond Broussard, Mike LeBlanc, Lester Landry and Mark Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Green, Gerald Landry, Roy Landry, Raoul Landry, Terry Stakes and Chief Master Sergeant Steve Stakes.
