New Iberia " Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Larry James Toups, the former Frankie Smith, 80, on Friday, Nov. 23, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Salvino Fr. Rubin Primor officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007 at 5:00 PM unitl 9:00 PM and resume on Friday, Nov. 23, 2007 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007 at 6:00 PM.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Toups died on Monday, Nov. 19, 2007 at 4:45 PM in a San Antonio, TX hospital. Mrs. Toups loved gardening, garage sales, shopping, visiting and politics.

She is survived by her husband, Larry James Toups of New Iberia; her son, Michael Mullen and his wife April of New Iberia; her daughter, Katherine Bourgeois of San Antonio, TX; her brother, Elbridge Smitty Smith, Jr. of New Iberia; her grandchildren, Courtney Daniels of Los Angelus, CA, Kristin Dotti of Asheville, NC, Jarod and Cody Mullen both of New Iberia, Travis Bourgeois of San Antonio, TX and Alexandra Bourgeois of Camden, Maine; her great grandchildren, Chloe and Florian Dotti both of Asheville, NC; a close and lifelong friend Elaine Neal of New Iberia and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elbridge Rufus Smith, Sr. and Angella Romero Smith; her sisters, Mary Ann Molbert, Hester Smith Derise, Dorothy Dot Smith and Margaret Smith Denison.

Pallbearers will be Jarod Mullen, Cody Mullen, Travis Bourgeois, Smitty Smith and Wiltz Toups.

Honorary pallbearers will be Courtney Daniels, Kristin Dotti and Alexandra Bourgeois.
