Erath - A Mass of Christian Burial for Elito LeBlanc, 95, will be held at 10:00AM on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Wayne Duet officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at David Funeral Home of Erath from 11:00AM until 9:00PM, with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 from 8:00AM until the time of services. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. Mr. LeBlanc, a native of Erath and a resident of Erath, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2008 at 1:40AM at an Abbeville nursing home. He liked to fish and hunt. He also owned and operated Erath Farm Supply, which is now owned by his grandson. He was also a land surveyor for about 5 years. His family would like to send special thanks to the staff of Maison de Monde Living Center and his sitters, Karla Suire, Clarence Bertrand, Dianne Cormier, Eva Bordelon and Tina Broussard. He is survived by his son Glyn LeBlanc and his wife Sherry of Houston TX; his daughter, Lois L. Suire and her husband Pierre "Jimmy" Suire Sr. of Erath, LA; 23 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Amy Toups LeBlanc; parents Laurent LeBlanc and Evela Bertrand LeBlanc; his brother Edon LeBlanc and his sister Rosetta LeBlanc. Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons Ronnie Suire, Kenneth Suire, Dwayne Suire, Pierre Jim Suire, Jr., Chris Suire, Manuel Suire, and Eric LeBlanc. Honorary pallbearers will be his granddaughters Susan Hebert and Roxanne Tate. David Funeral Home of Erath, 209 E. Putnam (337) 937-0405, will be handling arrangements.
