Beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather

Jeanerette " Funeral services will conducted for Adonis Paul Nese Arton, Jr., 60, on Wednesday, Nov.28, 2007 at 4:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Ed Degeyter officiating.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007 at 12:00 PM until the service time at 4:00 PM. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Wednesday at 2:00 PM.

A native and resident of Jeanerette, Mr. Arton died on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007 upon arrival at a New Iberia hospital. He was a retired tugboat captain having been employed with Tidewater Marine Towing for 25 years. Mr. Arton was member of the Jeanerette Volunteer Fire Department for many years, was a lifetime member of the Louisiana State Firemans Association and been a member for 20 continuous years, was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church where he served as an Usher and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Coffman Arton of Jeanerette; his sons, Shane Joseph Arton and his companion Victoria Conley of Ricelake, WI and David Paul Arton and his wife Pamela of Jeanerette; his granddaughters, Megan Elizabeth Arton of Jeanerette, Gretechen Marie Arton and Brittany Jean Marlowe both of Ricelake, WI; his grandsons, Devin Michael Arton of Jeanerette, Stephen Michael Arton and Robbie Lee Marlowe both of Ricelake, WI; his sister, Helen Ann Darby of New Iberia; his nieces, Kelly Marie Catone, Donna Lynn Dubois and Kim Elizabeth Langla all of New Iberia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adonis Paul Arton, Sr. and Lucille Hebert Arton and his brother, Joseph Paul Arton.

Pallbearers will be Lonnie Scott, Jamie Scott, Eugene Migues, Norman Brignac, Arthur Ozenne and George Alleman.
