New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Emmett Francis LaBiche, Sr. the former Ruby Mae Porter, Age 81, at 1:00PM Tuesday July 17, 2007 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Roland Fontenot and Noah Langley officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00AM till Service time. She died Saturday July 14, 2007 at 7:40PM in a local Nursing Home.

A native of Winnsboro, La. Mrs. LaBiche had been a resident of New Iberia many years working with her husband in their family business, LaBiche Welding Service. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter; Carolyn L. Barrilleaux and husband Mike of New Iberia, two sons; Roger W. LaBiche of Jersey City, NJ and Mitchell LaBiche and wife Tammie of Houston, TX., grandchildren; Chantel B. Heitler of Tampa, Fl., Chalisse B. LaBauve of Baton Rouge, Kimberly L. Powell of Lafayette and Landon LaBiche of Houston, TX. and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Emmett F. LaBiche, Sr., her parents; Henry L. and Bertha Hand Porter, one son; Emmett F. LaBiche, Jr., two brothers; Jack and L.H. Porter and one sister; Fannie Dean Braband.

Pallbearers will be Mike Barrilleaux, Roger LaBiche, Mitchell LaBiche, Brian Heitler, Stuart LaBauve and Wes Powell.

David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
