Lafayette- A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Eldes Broussard, the former Maveline Romero, 86, will be held on Monday, November 26, 2007 at 1:00PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Peter Emusa officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2007 from 11:00AM until 10:00PM, with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM, and will continue on Monday, November 26, 2007 from 8:00AM until time of service. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Mausoleum. Mrs. Broussard, a native of New Iberia and a resident of Lafayette, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2007 at 11:30AM at her residence. She is survived by seven sons, Dallas Broussard and his wife Annie of Broussard, Paul Broussard and his wife Eulalie of Broussard, Carol Broussard and his wife Betty of Youngsville, Harold Broussard and his wife Brenda of Maurice, Eldes Broussard and his wife Diane of Broussard, Wayne Broussard and his wife LaWana of Youngsville and Darrell Broussard and his wife Becky of Youngsville; four daughters, Mary Joyce Mouton and her husband Mike of Lafayette, Mildred Seaux and her husband Darrell of Lafayette, Gayle Hayes and her husband Larry of Broussard and Barbara Romero and her husband David of Youngsville; 34 grandchildren; 72 great grandchildren; and 15 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eldes C. Broussard, Sr.; her parents, Uville Romero and Zulme Romero Romero two sons, Joseph Broussard and Murphy Broussard; one grandson, Jake Broussard ; one greatgrandson Jeremy Theriot; three brothers, Clodie Romero, Lloyd Romero and Avery Romero; and three sisters, Lilly Romero, Anna Mae Romero Trahan and Norma Romero. Pallbearers will be Dallas Broussard, Jr., Paul James Broussard, Jr., Anthony Broussard, Mathew Broussard, Shannon Romero, Joshua Romero, Mitchell Mouton and Daniel Broussard. David Funeral Home of Lafayette will be handling arrangements.
