New Iberia - Funeral services will be conducted for Lawrence Larry Raymond Custer, 59, on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007 at 2:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark McDonald, Pastor of the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany officiating. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Memorial Park Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by V.F.W. Post 1982 of New Iberia.

Visitation will begin on Monday, Dec. 3, 2007 at 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007 at 8:00 AM until services.

A native of Clearwater, FL and a resident of Katy, TX, Mr Custer died on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007 at 10:15 AM in a Houston, TX hospital. Mr. Custer was a salesman in the office and business machines sales. He was an avid golfer and an Alabama Crimson Tide football fan. He was a member of the Holy Spirit Episcopal Church in Houston, TX. He was a veteran of the Viet Nam Era having served in the US Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki McGlothlan Custer of Katy, TX; his daughters, Katie Custer, Becky Pritchard both of Katy, TX and Amy Vines and her husband Corey of Greenville, SC; his grandson, Noah Lawrence Pritchard of Katy, TX; his sister, Pam Custer of Jackson Gap, AL; his aunt, Nancy Eubanks of Dadeville, AL; his brother-in-law, Jim McGlothlan and his wife Avia of New Iberia; his sister-in-law, Lyn Lewis and her husband Kell of St. Martinville and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence D. Custer and Kathleen Holliday Custer.

Pallbearers will be James, David and Tucker Lewis, Mac McGlothlan, Michael Churchman and Corey Vines.

Honorary pallbearers will be Peter McGlothlan, Rick Mims and Steve Delcambre.
