Erath - Funeral services for Mrs. Antoine Oliva, the former Thelma Loignon will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at 2:00PM at David Funeral Home Chapel. Father Wayne Duet will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 from 11:30AM until time of services. Internment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.

Mrs Oliva, age 86, a native of Vermilion Parish and a resident of Abbeville, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2008 at 3:35PM, at Abbeville General Hospital.

Mrs. Oliva, was married to her husband for 71 years. She was the Mardi Gras Queen for 2007, at Maison du Monde Living Center, and the Region III Mardi Gras Queen for 2007.

Mrs. Oliva is survived by her husband of 71 years, Mr. Antoine Oliva, two daughters; Deanna Lancon, and Delores Landry and her husband Ridley, both of New Iberia; one brother, Curtis Loignon and wife Laura Bell of Abbeville; two sisters, Emily Vadalia of Erath, and Verna Prejean of Abbeville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Numar and Laura Guttierez Loignon; two sons, Loveless, and James Oliva; three brothers, Vernick, Clarence, and Laurance Loignon; one sister, Lena Mae Guilbeaux.

Pallbearers will be: Chris Lancon, Cody Trahan, Brody Lancon, Roy Trahan, Ray Oliva, and Daniel 'D.J.' Girard, Jr.

David Funeral Home of Erath at 209 E. Putnam St (337)937-0405 will be handling the arrangements.
