Julie Derouen Doucet

Jeanerette- Funeral services will be conducted for Ms.Julie Derouen Doucet, age 85, Friday, Septmeber 11, 2009 at 10:00AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Fr. Jody Simoneaux officiating. Interment will follow in St. Johns Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, September 10, 2009 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume Friday, September 11, 2009 at 8:00AM until service.

A native of Patoutville and resident of Jeanerette, Ms. Doucet died Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 12:35PM at a local hospital. She enjoyed playing bingo and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Judy D. Trahan and husband Todd of Jeanerette; her son, Edwin Boo Boo Doucet and wife Tammy of New Iberia; her step-daughter, Patricia D. Fulton of Benton, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Jennifer Doucet, Alyse Doucet, Madeline Doucet, Joshua Trahan, Jacob Trahan and Brandi Fulton.

Ms. Doucet was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Derouen and Adeline Sogne Derouen; brothers, Fayo Derouen, Andrew Dallas Derouen, Nicholas R.L. Derouen, and Leonie Derouen; sisters, Mable D. Albert and Euranie D. Broussard.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
