Erath- A Mass of Christian Burial for Ulyess Red Richard, 81, will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2007 at 1:00PM at St. John Church in Henry with Fr. Wayne Duet officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 from 11:00AM until 9:00PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday, July 19, 2007 from 8:00AM until time of service. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. Mr. Richard, a native and resident of Erath, died on Monday, July 16, 2007 at 3:30PM at his residence. He served in the Army as PFC during World War II, he had 30 years of service with the Town Of Erath, and also loved to fish, travel, and sports. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Verda Mae Labit of Bancker; two daughters, Donna and her husband Mike Hargrave of Erath and Janel and her husband Sammy Delino of Henry; two sons, Ulyess Reed Richard and his wife Christina of Erath and Jaimey Richard and his wife Holly of Nunez; ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; one brother, Durice Richard of Erath; and one sister, Rita Menard of Erath. He is preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Pauline Richard; his first wife Frances Dore; four brothers, Alton Richard, Minos Richard, Wilmer Richard, and Joseph Richerd; a sister Eunice Richard; and a grandchild, Tabitha Richard. Pallbearers will be his sons Reed Richard, Jaimey Richard, son-in-laws Mike Hargrave, Sammy Delino, grandsons Bart Delino, and Jason Hargrave. Honorary pallbearer will be his brother Durice Richard. His wife and children would like to extend special thanks to the two son-in-laws Mike and Sammy, and daughter-in-law Holly for the love compassion, and care given by them during his illness. Also, sincere thanks to Dr. Phillip Noel and his staff, Concepts of Care and St. Theresas Hospice and Palliative Care. David Funeral Home of Erath will be handling arrangements.
