Life Has Ended New Iberia " Memorial Services will be conducted for Norris D. Chop Hebert, Sr.; Age 66, at 11:00AM Friday February 8, 2008 at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church with Father Mike Arnaud officiating. He died Tuesday February 5, 2008 at 3:35PM at his residence in New Iberia. He was a man of many talents and hobbies, which he enjoyed during his life until his injury in 1983 when he became disabled. That began his life of suffering. A native of Jeanerette and a resident of New Iberia he was the son of the late Leonard B. Hebert, Sr. and Kathryn Rader Hebert. Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Genest Hebert, daughter, Kathryn M. Hebert, son, Norris D. Hebert, Jr. and grandson Shay Taranto all of New Iberia and all of whom brought him much happiness, a brother, Leonard B. Hebert, Jr. and wife Kay of New Orleans, a sister, Cele LaSalle and husband Buddy of New Iberia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews especially three of his Godchildren and his dog Annie who gave him much comfort. A special thanks to Lena G. Thibodeaux who treated him like a son, and also to his doctors and staff and especially Dr. Baylen Kimball, the Bourque Family, Father Mike Arnaud of Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church, Mrs. Serina Rogers and all who prayed and helped our family member over the years. His family also thanks AAA Hospice of New Iberia for the difference youve made in our familys time of need.
