Lafayette " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. JoAnn Gros, the former JoAnn Foret. age 60, at 3:00PM Monday, August 17, 2009 at St. Joseph Co Cathedral in Thibodaux, LA with Father Joshua Rodrigue officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, August 16, 2009 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM at David Funeral Home, 316 Youngsville Highway, Lafayette, LA. Visitation will resume Monday, August 17, 2009 in Thibodaux from 11:00AM until the service time. A native of Raceland, and longtime resident of Thibodaux, and current of Lafayette, Mrs. Gros died Friday, August 14, 2009 at her residence. She was a Science teacher for E.D. White Catholic High School for 25 years in Thibodaux, LA. She had a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Nicholas State University in Thibodaux. Survivors include her husband, Glenn D. Gros, son, Scott Gros and his wife Lisa Wojciechowski Gros of Manderville, LA; three sisters, Melba Chiasson of Thibodaux, LA, Diana M. Gros of Baton Rouge, LA and Marie Hayes of DeFuniak Springs, FL; grandchildren, Gabriel Carroll Gros and Sophie Marina Gros. She was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Bessie Foret , her brothers Leslie and Lester Foret.
