Jeanerette ~ Funeral Services will be conducted for Miss Joyce C. Ansley, 80, at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Augustinus Seran officiating. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be observed Wednesday, February 13, 2008 from 8:30 AM to time of services with a rosary being recited at 11:00 AM at David Funeral Home. Miss Ansley died at 3:30 AM Sunday, February 10, 2008, in a New Iberia Hospital. She was a native of New Iberia and a resident of Jeanerette. Her family was her life. She retired as deputy assessor with the Iberia Parish Tax Assessors Office with 35 years of service. She is survived by her two brothers, Larry Paul Ansley of Jeanerette and Henry Patrick Ansley, Sr and wife Mary of Galveston, Texas; one sister, Muriel Theresa Ansley of Jeanerette; three nephews, Patrick Ansley, Jr. and wife Michelle of Loreauville, Sean Ansley and wife Jamie of Houston, Texas, and Darren Ansley and wife Alana also of Houston, Texas; and two nieces, Erin Ansley Migues and husband Stephen of Abbeville, and Kathleen Ansley of Lafayette. Miss Ansley was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Paul Ansley and Stella Langla Ansley; and a sister Jacqueline Ansley Cole. Pallbearers will be family members.
