Lafayette " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Noah Broussard, the former Mae Anna Bourque, 84, will be held on Monday, August 17, 2009 at 1:00PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Louis Richard officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Monday, August 17, 2009 from 9:00AM until 12:30pm. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Mausoleum. A native and resident of Broussard, Mrs. Mae Anna died Friday, August 14, 2009 at 2:33PM at Lafayette General Hospital. Mae Anna Nanny lived most of her life at the place where she grew up in Duchamps, Louisiana. Spending her life as a home maker, she would lovingly welcome and care for anyone who came to her home. Her final days were spent at Camelot Assisted Living in Broussard, Louisiana where she was able to be reunited with friends and spending time with her child hood friends. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Noille Leona Sellers, Sr. of Youngsville; a sister-in-law, Anna Mae Bourque of Milton; two nephews, Noille Sellers, Jr. and his wife Velma of Broussard and Felix Sellers of Youngsville; two nieces, Charlene LaRive and her husband Steve of Youngsville and Lisa Fisher and her husband Hugh of New Iberia; and a host of nieces and nephews and many friends and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Noah Broussard; her parents, Felix Bourque and Aglae Bourque; and her brother, ONeil Bourque. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends. A special thanks to all of the staff at Camelot Assisted Living and Lafayette General for the care they gave her; as well as, to Charlene and Steve Larne and Leona Sellers.
