Lafayette - Memorial Services will be held for Mr. Jerry Eugene Smith, 62, on August 12, 2007, at 11:00AM in David Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Smith passed away on August 10, 2007 at 7:30AM in Lafayette, Louisiana. A native of Little Rock, Arkansas and a resident of Lafayette, Mr. Smith was a supervisor for Weatherford for many years. Mr. Smith is survived by a daughter, Brandi Ballard and her husband Brent of Spring, Texas; two grandson, Cordan and Caden Ballard both of Spring, Texas; his mother Una Langford Smith of Abilene, Texas; one brother, Jon Smith and his wife Venita of Lovington, New Mexico; two sisters, Ann Dye and her husband Ed of Abilene, Texas and Jane Summers and her husband Barry of Fort Worth, Texas. He is also survived by two neices and one nephew. Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his father Eugene Norman Smith. David Funeral Home of Lafayette is handling the arrangements.
