Glenn Maurice Townley

NEW IBERIA " Services for Glenn Maurice Townley, 76, will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at David Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Derald Weber and Rev. Daniel Boudoin officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be observed Tuesday, June 24, 2008 from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM with a prayer service at 6:00 PM at David Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Wednesday, June 25, 2008 from 9:00 AM until the time of service.

A native of New York, Texas and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Townley died at 11:50 AM Monday, June 23, 2008, at Camelot Nursing Home in Broussard.

Mr. Townley loved fishing, playing cards and being with his friends and family. He worked as a District Coordinator for Scientific Drilling and was a Vice President for Wilson Down Hole, having served in the oil field for over 50 years.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Cormier Bourque Townley of New Iberia; two sons, Terry Townley and wife Ashley of Youngsville, and Gary Townley of Quitman, Texas; two step-sons, Chris Bourque and wife Tammy, and Kit Bourque and wife Michelle, both of New Iberia; step-daughter, Kim Borel and husband Todd of New Iberia; grandchildren, Sara Townley Jones, Lara Swetter Kurtz, Tara Faith Townley, Zachary Horton Townley, Jacob Thomas Townley, Joshua Glenn Townley, Jared Nathan Townley and Katheine Townley; step-grandchildren, Laci, Hannah, kylie,and Dylan Bourque, and Tyler and Abigail Borel; great-grandchild, Micah Jones; and first wife, Betty Jean Pagitt Townley of Broussard.

Mr. Townley was preceded in death by his parents, Horton and Lois Maynard Townley; and a great-grandchild, Micaela Jones.

Pallbearers will be Gary Townley, Terry Townley, Zachary Townley Todd Borel, Chris and Kit Bourque.

Honorary pallbearers will be Murrel Smith, Jacob, Joshua and Jared Townley, Micah Jones, Tyler Borel, Dylan Bourque, Tommy Sikes and Pat Louviere.
