Gladys Blanchard

Erath " A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mrs. Gladys Louise Blanchard, 85, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church at 3:00PM. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Erath on Thursday, September 10, 2009 beginning at 2:00PM until 8:00PM with recitations of the rosary at 5:00PM and 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Friday, September 11,2009 beginning at 9:00AM until time of services. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. A native and a resident of Erath, Mrs. Blanchard died on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 1:10AM at Vermilion Health Care Center. She is survived by her two daughters, Lisa Bourque of Erath and Genieve Blanchard of Connecticut; two sisters, Rita Harrington of Abbeville and Terese Sandoz of New Iberia. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Blanchard, her parents Odrey Hebert and Audrey Ann Cecile Dugas Hebert, her sister Elta Oliva, and her brothers, Abel Hebert, Presley Hebert, J.P. Hebert, Olton Hebert and Roland Hebert. Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Hebert, Virgil Hebert Jr., Nathan Granger, Steve Granger, Boyd Oliva, and Corey Butuad. David Funeral Home of Erath, 209 Putnam St. (337) 937-0405 is in charge of arrangements.
