Abbeville- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at 2:00PM at St. Theresa Catholic Church for Nedia Boutte Viator, age 83. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 11:00AM until 9:00PM with a rosary being prayed at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at 8:00AM until services. Father Chester Arceneaux will be officiating.

A native of Youngsville and a resident of Abbeville, Mrs. Viator passed away on Friday, February 15, 2008 at 10:45PM at an Abbeville Nursing Home.

Mrs. Viator is survived by her son, Michael Viator of Abbeville; daughters, Sherry Viator Barras and her husband William, III of Abbeville and Susan Viator Beauxis and her husband Al of Lafayette; five grandchildren, Kerry Barras and his wife Valerie of Fort Worth, Texas, Randal Barras and his wife Heidi of Abbeville, Brady Barras and his wife Pam of Abbeville, Stacey Beauxis Lyons and her husband Jimmy of Rayne and Nicole Beauxis Ramirez and her husband Jimmy of Slidell. She also leaves behind five great-grandchildren, Sydney and Ian Lyons of Rayne, Jacob and Whitlee Cargill of Fort Worth and Rylen Langlinais of Abbeville; three brothers, Ned Boutte and his wife Marguerite of Milton, Washington, twin brothers Leeward Boutte of Lacey, Washington and Howard Boutte of Tacoma, Washington; five sisters, Mabel Simon and her husband Lenis of Abbeville, Laura Duhon and her husband Harvey of Lafayette, Velta Broussard and her husband Donald of Abbeville, Betty Boudreaux of Broussard and Janelle Babineaux of Youngsville; also a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lally Viator; parents, Lorfis and Louise Hollier Boutte and one sister Mrs. Peterman (Nita) Bourque.

Pallbearers will be Michael Viator, Kerry Barras, Randal Barras, Brady Barras, Billy Barras and Al Beauxis.

David Funeral Home of Abbeville will be handling arrangements.
