New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Richard Jackson Barlett, the former Elmire LeBlanc, Age 92, at 1:00PM Monday March 24, 2008 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum. Visitation will be Sunday March 23, 2008 from 2:00PM until 9:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume Monday from 8:00AM until service time. She died Thursday March 20, 2008 at 1:05AM at Magnolia Estates in Lafayette. A native of Iberia Parish Mrs. Barlett was a house wife and also a foster grandparent for many years working in day care and public schools. She was a welder during WWII working on aircraft. Mrs. Elmire enjoyed gardening and cooking. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston St., Suite 200, Lafayette, La. 70503. Survivors include three sons; Alfred J. Bernard of Indian Bayou, Allen David Titsworth of League City, Texas and Eugene Mayeaux of Abbeville, three daughters; Rosemary M. Spell of Indian Bayou, Elmira Lucille Folse of Lafayette and Kathy B. Ching of Houston, Texas and one sister Cora Lacy of Rosharon, Texas, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; Richard Jackson Barlett, parents; Joseph and Elzia Bonin LeBlanc, brothers; Louis, Belezaire, Nicholas, Emile and Antoine Leblanc, sisters; Louise Martin, Gertrude Louis and Ezilda Broussard and two grandchildren; Michael Juneau and Donna Mayeaux.
