Abbeville - Goldie Kendrick, 86, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2007. She lived most of her life in Dickenson County. She was a member of the Philadelphia Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Offie Kendrick, one daughter Cherrie Kendrick, two sons John Paul Kendrick and Richard Kendrick, and one grand child Goldena Grigsby. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, August 6, 2007 at 2:00PM at Mullins Funeral Home Chapel in Clintwood, VA with Randolph Kendrick officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Kendrick Family Cemetery on Route 3, Clintwood, VA. She is survived by her children Wayne Kendrick, Sterling, Alaska, Audrey Carter, Richmond, VA, James Kendrick Newton, NC, Donna Kendrick, Erath, Louisiana, Giles Kendrick, Richmond, VA, Bobby Kendrick, Hickory, NC, Richard Kendrick, Knoxville, TN, Liz Kendrick, Tommy Kendrick, Jill Kendrick all of Clintwood, VA. Three sisters Irene Walker, Richmond, VA, Sylvia Dickie, Grundy, VA, Margie Mullins, Richmond, VA, 37 Grandchildren, 46 Great grandchildren and 31 Great- Great Grandchildren. Pallbearers will be John Hamilton, Travis Hamilton, Collena Grigsby, Derek Kendrick, Eric Kendrick, Shane Kendrick, Robert Menard, and Jay Hollier. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brett Hamilton, Kurt Duhon, Wayne Stilner, Evan Kendrick Vanover, and Cameron Kendrick Vanover. Family will receive friends Sunday at 6:00 pm on August 5, followed by a song service at 7:00 pm. at the Mullins Funeral Home Chapel. David Funeral Home of Abbeville handled the arrangements.
