LOVING MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER, AND GREAT-GRANDMOTHER

New Iberia"Funeral services for Lola Mae Maw Etheridge Tenney, 73, will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. in David Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Patoutville.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home, and will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home.

Mrs. Tenney passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2008 at 8:40 P.M. in her New Iberia residence.

A native of Prentiss, MS, Mrs. Tenney was a longtime resident of New Iberia. She enjoyed playing pokeno, playing word puzzles, and going to casinos. Her greatest joy, however, was being with and caring for her grandchildren.

Survivors include her mother, Bessie Mobley Broome of Prentiss, MS; daughter, Joy Verret and former husband, Jerry of New Iberia; son, Preston J. Tenney, Sr. and wife, Tina of New Iberia; brother, Royce Etheridge and wife, Carline of Columbia, MS; grandchildren, Shawn Lacour and fianc, Toni Boutte and her children, Dylan and Jacob of New Iberia, and Preston J. P.J. Tenney, Jr. of New Iberia; and great-grandchildren, Shay and Morgan Lacour of New Iberia.

Preceding Mrs. Tenney in death were her former spouse, Tellman Tenney; father, Lindon Etheridge; and step-father, Preston Broome.

Serving as pallbearers are Preston Tenney, Sr., Jerry Verret, Robbie Suire, Carrol Lancon, Greg Hamil, and Shawn Lacour.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to AAA Hospice.

David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
