LOVING HUSBAND, FATHER, GRANDFATHER, AND GREAT-GRANDFATHER Jeanerette"Funeral services for Mr. Nelson Pop Guillotte, 68, will be held on Friday, May 9, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. in David Funeral Home. The Reverend Jody Simoneaux will officiate. Interment will follow in Loisel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2008 from 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 P.M. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home. Mr. Guillotte passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at 8:55 A.M. in a New Iberia hospital. A native of Charenton, Mr. Guillotte had lived in Jeanerette for his entire life. He was a member of the Catholic faith, and was a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Guillotte worked as a welder and welding instructor, as well as a commercial crab fisherman. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Bourque Guillotte of Jeanerette; son, Louis M. Pooky LeBlanc and wife, Helen of Jeanerette; daughter, Susan M. Matteson and husband, Thomas of Jeanerette; step-daughters, Laura Kristicevich of Franklin and Donna Rochel and husband, Joe of Gibson; grandchildren, Goldie Puthanperikal and husband, Paul of Jeanerette and BobbieJo Olivier and husband, Larry of New Iberia; great-grandchildren, Brett Galatas, Jeremy Olivier, Justin Olivier, and Brianna Olivier, all of New Iberia, and Joseph Rogers, III, Lacie Dowdy, and Jeremy Dowdy, all of Jeanerette; step-grandchildren, Melinda Lemoine and husband, Churchhill David of New Roads, Brandon Armentor of Gibson, Micholas Kristicevich of Charenton, Nicole Verret of Franklin, Nicole Rochel of Gibson, Mia Rochel of Gibson, Kayla Kristicevich of New Iberia, Tanna Kristicevich of Charenton, and Aleisa Kristicevich of Charenton; step-great-grandchildren, Amber Rose Lemoine and Berlynn Michelle Lemoine, both of New Roads; brother, Earl J. Guillotte, Sr. of Lake Charles; sister, Eula G. Segura and husband, Larry of Jeanerette; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Preceding Mr. Guillotte in death were his first wife, Mary Agnes Eskind Guillotte; parents, Hector and Louisiana Broussard Guillotte; brothers, Wilson Guillotte, Lester Guillotte, and Chester Guillotte; and sisters, Anna Mae Hebert, Luna Duhon, and Linda Guillotte. Serving as pallbearers are Louis LeBlanc, Thomas Matteson, E.J. Duhon, Sr., E.J. Duhon, Jr., Brett Galatas, Larry Duhon, Jr., Bobby J. Duhon, and Derek Segura. Named as honorary pallbearers are Goldie Puthanperikal, BobbieJo Olivier, Larry J. Segura, Noey Hebert, Wilson Bourque, Joseph Possy Rogers, Jeremy Olivier, Erick Duhon, and Steve Buteau. David Funeral Home of Jeanerette, 400 Provost Street, 276-5151 is in charge of arrangements.
