Harvey, LA---Funeral services for Mr. John David Additon, Sr., 64, will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 2:30 P.M. in Mothe Funeral Home Chapel, Harvey, LA. Pastors Kenneth P. Additon and Bernard P. Additon are officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery, Gretna, LA.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home, 1101 Trotter Street, New Iberia, with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until service time in Mothe Funeral Home, Harvey, LA.

Mr. Additon passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at 9:25 P.M. in a New Iberia hospital.

A native of New Orleans and longtime resident of New Iberia, Mr. Additon enjoyed traveling, fishing, cooking, and any activity which took him onto the water.

Survivors include his wife, Blanch Mayer Additon of New Iberia; mother, Rita Bianchini Additon of Harvey; daughter, Sonya R. Additon of Las Vegas, NV; son, John D. Additon, Jr. of New Iberia; granddaughters, Victoria E. Additon of New Iberia, Alexandra K. Klink of Las Vegas, NV, and Sophia M. Klink of Las Vegas, NV; sisters, Gayle F. Gumpert of Belle Chase, Karen Teal of Harvey, and Terry P. Collins of Tacoma, WA; and brothers, Bernard P. Additon of Harvey and Kenneth P. Additon of Tampa, FL.

Preceding Mr. Additon in death were his father, Mark Bernard Additon; and brother, Mark Adam Additon.

Serving as pallbearers are Lance Additon, Kevin Heindel, Ashton Gumpert, Alvin Gumpert, Jr., B.J. Additon, and Buddy Bianchini.
