Cecile Bacque' Meech

Milton " Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Benjamin R. Meech, the former Cecile Bacque, 87, on Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Henry Bordeaux officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Mausoleum.

Visitation was on Monday, Aug. 4, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resumed on Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Monday, Aug. 5, 2008 at 7:00 PM.

A native of Maurice, a resident of St. Martinville and a former resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Meech died on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008 at 5:30 PM in a St. Martinville nursing home. She was a beautician, seamstress and loved to needlepoint and crocheting.

She is survived by her sons, John Meech and his wife Sally of Catahoula, LA and Raymond Meech of Somerville, TX; her daughter, Suzanne Wheeler and her husband George of Lometa, TX; her grandchildren, Cezanne Jaeschke, Celette Salazar-Maldonado both of Lampasas, TX, Benjamin Ryan Meech of Keller, TX, Adam Carl Meech of Spring, TX and Zachary Paul Meech of Catahoula, LA; her great grandchildren, Michael Everette Youngberg, Christopher Matthew Youngberg, Anthony Joell Salazar and Zayne Noel Maldonado all of Lampasas, TX, Patrick Holden Meech and Kendall Michelle Meech both of Keller, TX.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin R. Meech; her parents, Henri Bacque and Anna Broussard Bacque; her brothers, Treville Bacque, Msgr. Albert Bacque, Frank Bacque and Gus Bacque; her sisters, Viola Martin, Mable Bordeaux and Lillian Johnson and her step-mother, Emily Broussard.

Pallbearers will be Benjamin Ryan Meech, Adam Carl Meech, Zachary Paul Meech, Anthony Joell Salazar, George Wheeler, Dr. John David Knapp and Ed Hebert.
