LOVING WIFE, MOTHER, AND GRANDMOTHER Lydia"A Mass of Christian Burial for Annie Oppenheimer Sigue,age 75 the wife of Roland J. Sigue will be celebrated on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. in St. Nicholas Catholic Church. The Reverend Donavan Labbe will serve as celebrant. Entombment will follow in St. Nicholas Mausoleum, Patoutville. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2008 from 8:00 A.M. until service time in St. Nicholas Catholic Church, with a rosary being recited at 9:30 A.M. in the church. Mrs. Sigue passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 2:58 P.M. in a New Iberia hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Iberia Parish, Mrs. Sigue was a faithful member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, where she belonged to the Holy Name Society and Wednesday Noon Rosary Group. Mrs. Sigue was a wonderful cook whose meals and baked goods were enjoyed by all who tasted them. She enjoyed sewing and going to the casino, but her greatest joy was spending time with and caring for her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Roland J. Sigue of Patoutville; sons, Wayne Sigue of Patoutville and Glenn Sigue and wife, Candye of Patoutville; daughters, Wanda Sigue of Patoutville, Charlene S. Mitchell and husband, James of Patoutville, and Brenda S. Sam and husband, Carl of Patoutville; grandchildren, Brittney and Sierra Mitchell, Colby and Sarah Sigue, and Brandon Sam; niece, Paula Olivier of Patoutville; and nephew, Paulton Olivier of Patoutville. Preceding Mrs. Sigue in death were her parents, Alvin and Ophelia Collins Oppenheimer; sister, Agnes O. Olivier; and nephew, Paul Olivier. Serving as pallbearers are Wayne Sigue, Glenn Sigue, James Mitchell, Paulton Olivier, Patrick Sigue, and Lurry Sigue, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Sam,Joseph Sigue,Jr.,Donald Sigue,and Alton Oppenheimer. David Funeral Home of New Iberia, 1101 Trotter Street, 369-6336, is in charge of arrangements.
