LOVING FATHER

New Iberia"A Mass of Christian Burial for Louis B. Boo Romero, IV, 37, will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. in Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church. The Reverend Ed Degeyter will serve as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 from 2:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home.

Mr. Romero passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at 3:00 P.M. in his New Iberia residence.

A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mr. Romero was employed as a field technician by C&S Fire and Safety. He enjoyed tinkering with modern technology, including computers, music downloading, and cell phones. Mr. Romeros greatest joy, however, was spending time with his friends and family.

Remaining to remember him are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis B. Buddy (Deanna Menard) Romero, III of New Iberia; son, Logan Michael Romero of New Iberia; daughter, McKenzie Claire Romero of New Iberia; brothers, Tommy Romero and wife, Wendy of New Iberia and Rusty Romero and wife, Elizabeth of New Iberia; sister, Rachel Burnett and husband, Martin, Sr. of Dallas, TX; nephews, Martin Burnett, Jr. of Dallas, TX, Teigen Romero of Dallas, TX, Detroyrius Burnett of Dallas, TX, Jackson Burnett of Dallas, TX, Kyle Romero of Youngsville, Aidan Romero of New Iberia, and Garet Boudreaux of New Iberia; nephew/Godson, Cy Boudreaux of New Iberia; nieces, Amber Camacho of New Iberia and Raven Romero of New Iberia; Goddaughter, Tabitha Myers of New Iberia; Godmother, Judy Romero and husband, Ronald of New Iberia; Godfather, Junior Fontenot and wife, Gail of New Iberia; maternal grandparents, Syprine and Gloria Menard of New Iberia; special cousins, Scotty J. Romero and wife, Brandi of New Iberia and Shane Anson and companion, Sherri of New Iberia; and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.

Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Florence and Louis Bee Romero, Jr.; cousin, Dwayne Menard; and aunts, Carla Romero and Connie Migues.

Serving as pallbearers are Treg Murphy, Shane Anson, Lionel Fontenot, Scotty Romero, Rusty Romero, Martin Burnett, Sr., Logan Romero, and Teigen Romero. Named as honorary pallbearers are Tommy Romero, Aidan Romero, Cy Boudreaux, Kyle Romero, and Jackson Burnett.
