Loving Mother and Grandmother Jeanerette " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Larry Joseph Mire, the former Marie Louviere, Age 83, at 11:00AM Friday July 27, 2007 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Jeanerette with Father Jody Simoneaux officiating. Interment will follow in St. Johns Cemetery in Jeanerette. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00PM till 9:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 7:00PM and again Friday from 8:00AM till service time. She died Friday July 20, 2007 at 5:50PM in Houston, TX. Hospital. A native of Jeanerette Mrs. Mire had been a resident of Galveston TX. She was a member of the Grandmothers Club in Galveston, the 50 Fun Club of Galveston and the Senior Citizens in Bacliff, TX. She liked to crochet and she also did knitting. She enjoyed playing Bingo and was an excellent cook. Survivors include a daughter; Kacie Brannan of Dickinson, TX. One sister; Rita Lancon of Jeanerette, two brothers; David Louviere of New Iberia and Roy Louviere of Lufkin, TX, two grandsons; Jason Brannan of Los Angeles, Ca. and Larry Brannan and wife D-dee of Dallas, TX and a great grandson Cole Brannan also of Dallas, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Joseph Mire and her parents, Eli and Constance Derise Louviere, brothers; Dennis and Charles Louviere. Pallbearers will be Lionel Lancon Jr, Tommy Louviere, David Louviere Jr, Dennis Louviere Jr, Phillip Jeffers and Roland Mire. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Brannan and Jason Brannan. David Funeral Home of Jeanerette is in charge of arrangements.
