Lafayette- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Annette Burke, 54, on Monday, March 10, 2008 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven in Lake Charles, Louisiana at 11:00AM. Visitation will begin on Friday, March 7, 2008 at 4:00PM until 9:00PM and will resume on Saturday March 8, 2008 at 10:00AM until 8:00PM, with a rosary being prayed at 6:00PM, at David Funeral Home of Lafayette. Visitation on Sunday, March 9, 2008 will begin at 4:00PM until 9:00PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00PM and will resume on Monday, March 10, 2008 at 8:00AM until services at Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Interment will follow at Consolata Cemetery in Lake Charles. Mrs. Burke, a native of Lake Charles and a resident of Lafayette, passed away at 3:13PM on March 5, 2008 at Southwest Medical Center. She enjoyed going to her camp in Toledo Bend, fishing and spending time with her grandson. She is survived by her husband, Jonathan Burke of Lafayette; her mother, Doris Fontenot of Moss Bluff, LA; her daughter, Carrie Renee Boudreaux and her husband Jared of Pearland, TX; her grandson, Cade Allen Boudreaux of Pearland, TX; four sisters, Paula Hebert and her husband Robert of Moss Bluff, Karen Stein and her husband Mark of Moss Bluff, Doris Breaux and her husband Charles of Lake Charles and Edna Gilbert and her husband Jimmy of Lake Charles; three brothers, Michael Fontenot of Boyce, LA, John Pat Fontenot and his wife Katherine of Panama City, FL and Raphael Fontenot and his wife Cathy of Lake Charles; two brother-in-laws, Neal Burke and his wife Donna of Youngsville and Jim Burke and his wife Donna of Denton, TX; three sister-in-laws, Claire Robinson and her husband Richard of Orlando, FL, Katherine Pitre and her husband Joe of French Settlement, LA and Barbara Scott and her husband Jeff of Eugene, OR; and her in-laws, Walter J. and Amelie M. Burke of Youngsville. She is preceded in death by her father, Raphael Jack Fontenot. Pallbearers will be Michael Fontenot, John Pat Fontenot, Raphael Fontenot, Mark Stein, Charles Breaux and Jimmy Gilbert. In lieu of flowers, the family asked for donations to be made to St. Jude Hospital; 501 St. Jude Place; Memphis, TN. 38105 in Mrs. Annette Burkes Memory. David Funeral Home of Lafayette will be handling arrangements.
