Loving Mother and Grandmother Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Moses Buteau the former Helen Verret, Age 74, at 10:00AM Wednesday March 12, 2008 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Theo Landry officiating. Interment will follow at St. Johns Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00PM until 10:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume Wednesday from 8:00AM until service time. She died Saturday March 8, 2008 at 11:30AM at her residence in Jeanerette. A native of St.Mary Parish Mrs. Buteau had been a resident of Jeanerette for many years. She loved to cook and bake cakes. Her best days were spent taking care of her children and grandchildren. Survivors include one son; Brian Buteau of Jeanerette, two daughters; Phyllis Walters and husband William of Foley, Alabama and Cheryl Landry and husband Gerard of Jeanerette, her mother; Rena Melancon of Jeanerette, one sister; Hilda Buteau and husband Joseph "Best Buddy" of Jeanerette, three brothers; Davis Verret and wife Ella Mae, Jerald Pat Verret and wife Joyce and Ray Verret and wife Betty all of Jeanerette, grandchildren; Dwight Buteau of Foley, Alabama, Chad Patout and Dirk Landry both of Jeanerette, great grandchildren; Ory Patout of Coteau, Haegen , Bresyen and Brittany Buteau and Devery Jones all of Foley, Alabama, Tyler Patout of New Iberia and Breigh Patout of Jeanerette. She was preceded in death by her first husband; Leroy Gary and her second husband; Moses Buteau, her father; Lawless Verret and two brothers; Richard and Chester Verret, Sr. Pallbearers will be Chester Verret Jr., Chester Verret III, Travis Verret, Steve Buteau, Chad Patout and William Walters.
