Junius Joseph Broussard

New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Junius Joseph Broussard, Age 82, at 10:00AM Tuesday March 11, 2008 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Mark Derise officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be Monday from 3:00PM until 10:00PM with a praying of the Rosary at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume Tuesday from 8:00AM until service time. He died Saturday March 8, 2008 at 4:00PM in a local health care facility.

A native of Delcambre Mr. Junius was a longtime resident of New Iberia. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Navy. He worked for Estorge Drug Company for years. He was an avid LSU Football fan who enjoyed gardening and working in his yard. He loved being with his family and friends especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include one son; Darryl Broussard and his wife Dianna of New Iberia, grandchildren; Lanie and Jordan Broussard both of New Iberia, one brother; Nolan Broussard and one sister Verline Bailey both of New Iberia. He was preceded in death by his wife; Lucille Barrilleaux Broussard, his parents; Oscar and Nelies Delcambre Broussard, one brother; Vernice Broussard and one sister; Velta Robin.

Pallbearers will be Don Louviere, Jordan, Roger and Nolan Broussard, Michael Bailey and Lonny Breaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Wilfred Barrilleaux, Milton Bailey, Craig Weber, Frank Baudoin, Michael Langlinais and Frank Landry, Jr.
