Lafayette " Funeral Services for Mrs. Leonie Vicknair, 90, will be held at David Funeral Home Chapel of Lafayette, on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at 9:00AM with Fr. Bill Gearheard officiating. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at 10:00AM until 9:00PM with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00PM and will resume on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at 8:00AM until the time of services. Internment will follow at Broussard Cemetery in Vermillion Parish. A native of Maurice and a resident of Abbeville, Mrs. Vicknair passed away at 10:25PM on March 9, 2008 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Abbeville. She is survived by her two sons, Liefy Romero of Lafayette and Paul Romero of New Iberia; four brothers, Elton Broussard and Antoine Broussard of Youngsville, Lawless Broussard of Maurice and Eugene Broussard of Milton; four sisters, Bennett Vincent of Maurice, Lawrence Romero and Velma Broussard of Youngsville, and Helen Hebert of Mire; as well as fourteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Valarie Trahan Broussard; first husband Ophie Romero; second husband, Richard Vicknair; two sons, Frank and Raoul Romero; four brothers, Dennis Broussard, Willis Broussard, Wilfred Broussard and Roy Broussard; three sisters, Noemie Dartez, Inez Duhon and Eugenia Jambon. Serving as pallbearers will be Raywood Romero, Lee Romero, Corey Romero, Timmy Romero, Troy Romero and Kenneth Romero.
