New Iberia"A memorial service honoring the life of Mrs. Moise Gerard, the former Ella Mae Trahan, 60, will be held at a later date. Mrs. Gerard passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at 11:35 P.M. in a New Iberia hospital. A lifelong resident of the New Iberia area, Mrs. Gerard was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She enjoyed caring for children, listening to music, sewing, word puzzles, and watching movies, especially western movies. Survivors include her sisters, Elizabeth Trahan Suire and husband, Eugene of Delcambre, and Gloria Faye Trahan Dupree of Salem, OR; brothers, Thomas Joseph Trahan and wife, Frankie of Houston, TX, Ronald James Trahan and wife, Kathleen of Grand Marais, Roy Allen Trahan and wife, Bonnie of Lydia, Daniel Patrick Trahan and wife, Jonna of Lydia, and Warren Trahan and companion, Cathy Addie of Lydia; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-neices, great-nephews, other relatives, and friends. Preceding Mrs. Gerard in death were her husband, Moise Gerard; and parents, Dudley Paul and Ulilia Trahan. David Funeral Home, 1101 Trotter Street, New Iberia, 369-6336 is in charge of arrangements.
